On Thursday, November 28, 2024, class 5A went on a fun trip to Vienna with Prof. Porics and Prof. Hundley. The day started in Eisenstadt, where the group took a train to Vienna’s Hauptbahnhof. Everyone was excited and enjoyed the train ride, chatting about what was planned for the day.
From the Hauptbahnhof, they took a tram through the streets of Vienna, which were decorated with beautiful Christmas lights. Their first stop was the Studio Molière theater, where they watched an English-language production of “A Christmas Carol”. Everyone really enjoyed the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, with great acting and a nice message about being kind and caring.
After the play, the class went to the Christkindlmarkt at Rathausplatz. The market looked magical with all the lights, small wooden stalls, and the smell of tasty food, including roasted chestnuts. The students walked around, looked at Christmas decorations, tried some sweet snacks, and enjoyed the happy holiday feeling.
The trip was a great mix of culture and Christmas fun. Everyone had a wonderful time and returned to Eisenstadt with lots of nice memories from their day in Vienna. —Laura S., 5a
